I need both a new filter and skimmer for my 29g and came upon this: Skilter Filters. What do you think....has anyone used these before? Sounds like they are a combo skimmer and filter.

    Thanks!

I saw one online last night and was thinking about getting one for my sea horse tank. Souds like a cool idea if it really works. Heres a link to the one I found so everyone can check it out.

Azoo Mignon Skimmer Hang On Back Power Filter

Only problem is it doesnt say if it has carbon cartridges and thats the only reason Im going to run a HOB filter on this tank.

Quite similar to the one I found. The skilter comes with 1 white polypad and 1 carbon filter.

That looks like a much bigger version. I like the idea.

I have one. The only complaint that I have is it has a very small collection cup.

They have the Azoo at one of my LFS and while it looks like it would work awesome for a piotope, I imagine it is DRASTICALLY underpowered for anything larger. This is also the filter/skimmer that comes on the Azoo pico setup.

I think as far as a skimmer you get what you pay for and 40 bux doesnt sound like your getting much.....JMO

Had one of these about 12 years ago for my original 20 gallon reef. Worked ok, but I would purchase a CPR model over the Skilter brand.

You get what you pay for,
