I've heard of people having success with it but I've also heard lemon juice works well. Do you have a problem with aptasia? Have you tried peppermint shrimp?

Hmm, I've never had trouble keeping pepermints alive. What are you feeding the tank and how long do they usually last? Another question would be is there anything in the tank eating them?

Joe's juice worked great for me. As said you can create your own in different ways or just inject whatever you use for calcium directly into it at a high level. When doing this you won't have to add as much calcium to your tank for your corals.
I did that for about a yr till one day I just went out and got about 10 peppermint's. I can only find 5 but have not had any aptasia for a yr now.

It claims to kill majanos but I don't believe it. Nothing kills those sons-a-beeyotches.

The usually last for a couple of months. and then disappear. Aptasias will then bloom..

Here is my recent water chem. readings. Could any of these factor into dying inverts? Still have a few hermits in there. Live rock, 2 Tangs, 1 Anthias, 1 damsel (Tough little bugger!!!) 4 to 5 hermits, Anemone

    PH - 8.2
    Ammonia - 0.0
    Nitrite - 0.22
    Nitrate - 0.20
    Salinity - 1.021
    Calcium - 210
    Phosphate - .065

Ya I would get you Salinity up. It should be in the area of 1.024 to 1.026. Nitrite should be Zero. Nitrite is as deadly as ammonia

Look at the Similar Threads box at the bottom of this page. Plenty of threads on Joe's Juice.

I used it and liked it, except for the occasional squirt I blew all over my tank. Try not to spaz. :)

Yeah the numbers are declining quite a bit since a month ago. I had added a refugium + copepods. After a month, red cyano formed LIKE wild fire and all the plants in the refugium died. After that occured, my whole balanced chem spiked like crazy. Lost my star fish, couple of corals, hermits!!! Thank god I caught it in time, Save my elephant ears, anemone, the fish and some hermits. So I am happy!!! Need to change the water in the tank a few more times and the numbers should normalize.
