Anyone got unsuccesful anemone hosting with Clarks?

Hello everyone,

This is more of a curious question, since my clarkii clownfish already does host my anemone, but i wanted to know if anybody out there actually have been so unlucky to experience clarkii clownfish, who aren't accepting anemones? I'm really curious to see, if this actually has happend to any of you before, cause i have never seen it! My friend has a NPS-only tank, and he currently keeps an anemone in there, with 2 clarkii clownfish, and they love it too. My clarks love my malu sebae, like ALOT Right now as i'm writing they are sleeping in it, just laying in it like its a bed (Its night right now). But anyway, if you have experienced clarks that havent hosted anemones, let me know

That is true. But the clarkii clownfish accepts every single anemoen that it finds. Its favorite is the sebae, however they can be in Carpet Anemones, Bubble Tips, Long Tentacles, Sand Anemones, Magnificent Anemones and everything else. They "let" the anemones host them, all the time. They're not very picky, and i was very curious to see if people had problems with clarkii's. Because, if you put a clarkii clownfish in a tank, with an anemone, you're pretty guaranteed to get some symbiosis going Kinda funny, these guys are so cute

 

This is more coincidence and less fact.

 

It is a fact that clarkii clownfish accept alot more anemones than other clownfish. Aswell as that, some clownfish wont accept any anemones if they dont feel like it. I've never seen a clarkii who doesnt wanna host an anemone, thats why i am asking you if you have ever experienced it or seen it. Since i've never heard about anyone else either having problems with Clarkii's hosting anemones. They're quite different clownfish

 

Did you not just agree to the fact that the anemone accepts the clownfish?

Doesn't this make your point moot?

Are you trying to say that anemones like Clarkii's better then other clowns?

it is true.. clarkii's are much less picky when it comes to being hosted than other clowns. at one point i had a clarkii hosting a condy anemone. which would be unheard of if it was a percula or occ.
