I have my tank setup in my room and I absolutely love the noise of the water going through the overflow. Anyone else? Its not too loud, not a gurgling noise either.

    word.
I find a constant background noise soothing. I keep a fan on in my room when I sleep partly for the noise.

My nano tank is dead silent, you don't even know it there when it's lights out.

I have some splashing in the sump like you might hear in a brook, so yeah.

My tank is 4 ft from my bed.I wouldn't be able to sleep at all if it wasn't for the "sounds of the tank",lol. You get so used to it that when i turn off all pumps for feeding or wc's,it's kinda creepy quiet.

My tanks at the foot of my bed. I enjoy having something soothing to keep me "alert". I know what my tank sounds like running when everything's on and working. If I hear something out of the ordinary, I just do a gymnastic move and take a gander.

Makes my girlfriend have to urinate. Often. Lol

I also have a window shaker ac unit literally right by my head when I sleep. That combined with my surround sound when I watch tv I barely hear it 80% of the day. When I play battlefield forget it lol.

My window ac keeps my room at 70-72 which my tank hovers around 78 79 Mid day. I turn it up at night to 73 74 some nights.

My wife loves it. For me it makes me have to go to the bathroom.

I like the ATO sound. Not because it is a nice sound or anything, it's just reassuring to know it's still working! Same goes for the dosing pumps.

Other than that I would definitely like the tank to be quieter... the sound of the skimmer and return pumps, plus the sound of the MP10 are annoying to me since I live in a fairly small apartment.

I don't mind the water splashing noise, but I'd still prefer silence.

When you have $5000.00 worth of stereo equipment set up in the same room the answer is a resounding ...... NO!!!!
