Anyone else have a Clown that kisses your arm?

Definately startled me the first few times.. What I learned fast working in the tank with Sampson was to not move quickly though as his tial tends to dislodge lots and hurts like a mother if it connects with skin.

 

i had a betta fish ( freshwater) who would swim all around my hands when they were in the water and at times wrap his tail around my fingers and hand when i was cleaning the tank. he is what started the fish addiction. i was very attached to this fish. never had another fish like him. some cool fish but never like him. miss you charlie tuna

 

He's attacking you. It just doesn't hurt at all since they don't exactly have fangs or anything. Mine is friendly and comes up to the tank, but whenever i put my hand in with a sponge he attacks constantly. Just be glad he isn't a lionfish.

 

mine bites n its starting to hurt he knows what part of my hands to hit and omg it makes me mad lol. i have to net him and put the net balanced on my magfloat so he can stay swiming in it in the tank but in fish jail lol

the female maroon I had did that. now my Sohal tang chews on the tips of my fingers. its an odd feeling cause he can almost get my pinkie in his mouth and has rough lips

Them coming up to the front is more or less them trying to intimidate you.

I was doing a WC last week and the male clown attacked (kissed) me several times - then jumped at my hand as I was pulling out the hose - he cleared my head and ended up on the floor

Popped him back in and is fine. Any time time I get my face close they both come out and flare.
I love them tho (mated fire clowns) First additions to my aquarium - named Adam and Eve of course

 

Wow that's awesome....except for the fish out of water

 

I believe mine is just getting food from my hand when I stick my finger in the water with freeze-dried cyclopeeze on it....
