    Fletch,

I grill a veggie shish-ka-bob that is amazing for a couple of my friends. Many of my non-vegetarian friends eat them willingly and I do too.

    Ken,

I know what a vegetarian is and I know what a vegan is. What is a lacto-vegetarian?

here are some of the prefixes/types associated w/vegetarianism
ovo-some one who eats eggs/egg products
    lacto- eating/drinking milk,whey, products
    and yes even
polo-not eating meat but eating fowl.
***this one I do not agree with but thats life your not going to agree with everything!
I personalyhave never eaten an animal from a lake, sea, or ocean.

    I posted a previous thread
    http://www.3reef.com/forums/general-reef-topics/food-40927.html
to see if reefers consumed seafood, and with staggering numbers and some very weird/shocking comments they do!

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said," You have just dined, and however scrupulously the slaughterhouse is concealed in the graceful distance of miles, there is complicity."

    GREAT QUOTE

I personally am not a vegan, I like my meat! However, the one thing I don't like is a militant vegan who'll come up to you and ask, "How can you eat dead animals?" or say, "That cow had a mother."

If you decide to eat veggies...just eat veggies and let me be happy clogging my veins with fat.

Oh I in NO means meant that in any way. I was just looking to see if there were any veg*n reefers out there. I hope I have not offended you. If I may comment not directly to TheDuck but vegetarians also dont like "militant" omni's who come up to you and ask, "Where do you get your protein?"and other questions, I DO NOT mind answering them, in fact I allways do, but its more of a way they ask questions almost like their "defending themselves". I hope I havent stepped on anyones toes!

    Hey....we're all friends here.

Different strokes for different folks guys. I respect my friends who are vegetarians and they respect me. I truly don't have any intention of changing my current diet but I also don't have any intention of making you eat my way either. With that said, you clearly are not trying to change my diet either....you're simply trying to find like-minded people.

My disgust with PETA is well-documented on 3Reef but that is because of the shameful way that they are trying to manipulate children with those horrible comic books. Children should be eating paste, drawing on the wall with permanent markers, cutting their little brothers hair with child-safe scissors instead of worrying that because their daddy fishes, he's going to come after their doggies and kitties next. Here's my thread from a while back. http://www.3reef.com/forums/bucket/peta-finally-equal-opportunity-34543.html

Vegetarians are unfortunately tied with PETA. With that said, when I showed the comic books to my vegetarian friends, they were horrified to say the least. I don't know Ken at all but I seriously doubt that he approves of those comic books either.
