Setting up my first reef and went to the LFS. Picked up some LR and this guy was on it. The new LR is "curing" as it just came into the LFS, but I was able to pull off this piece and put it in with a couple of other pieces that I've had for afew weeks.

They're flat and about the size of a pencil eraser. The piece they're attached to is a dead coral (I think) and the underside of it is as smooth as the inside of an oyster shell.

Thanks for any help ID'ing this one.

    I have no idea.

I'm going to say Formaferin as well.

Feel them to see if they are hard or squishy.

Very solid. Feels like a piece of rock.

    Formaferin.

A calciferous formation. Nothing to worry about.
