    If your tank is perpendicular to the joist there is no reason the floor shouldn't hold the weight, however if the floors are very old or have bad water damage you should have nothing to worry about. I'm an engineering technician for the state of Nevada.

    a single 2x10 or even double up 2x10 IMO isnt enough. LVL is the way to go. Its an easy job to do. to install them.
