The Fluval Spec V is a beautiful little peninsula nano aquarium with built-in overflow, etched-glass and aluminum trim. Getting up close to one recently I have to say I was a bit smitten by it. Does anyone out there have one of these? I'd love to see some pics of your setup. Please share if you do. :wink3:

Fluval Spec is a contemporary-looking aquarium designed for small areas such as desktops and countertops. This 19-litre (5 US gal) etched-glass aquarium with aluminum trim combines style and functionality in one small package.

Though small in stature, Fluval Spec is big on features.

It comes with a sleekly-designed overhanging lighting system, consisting of 37 powerful LED lamps, that arches above the aquarium to provide brilliant illumination for plants and décor.

The aquarium includes a powerful circulation pump with adjustable output nozzle and a large 3-stage filtration system that provides more than enough filtration for ultra clean and clear water.

It also comes with all the necessary filter media: a porous foam block with convenient handle, activated carbon, and BioMax bio rings for effective and thorough mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration.

The pump and filtration system are conveniently located in a separate chamber at one end of the aquarium to simplify maintenance.

    Key Features:

    • 19-litre (5 US gal) nano aquarium
    • Etched-glass tank with aluminum trim
    • Powerful 37 LED lighting system - 7500°K high luminosity LEDs (35 White LEDs) , 460nm Blue LEDs (2)
    • 3-stage filtration system
    • 53 gph pump with adjustable flow control and output nozzle
    • Includes foam block, activated carbon and BioMax bio rings
    • Nutrafin Aqua Plus Water Conditioner, 30 mL
    • Nutrafin Cycle Biological Aquarium Supplement, 30 mL
    • Size: 43.5 x 27 x 16 cm (17.2 x 10.6 x 6.3 in)

    MSRP $78

One thing I noticed while taking these photos that struck me as odd - someone put the heater in the tank display and not in the filter compartment. It sure looked to me like you could get a skinny heater back there. :p

Aye - I saw some pics on Google images from there. This would make a great office tank.

I have the 2 gallon version sitting on my desk as I type this. I have it set up as freshwater with a live plant, drift wood piece and an apple snail.

Its a nice little setup and I do have a small Marina heater in the back of the tank. Just an FYI, the width on the 2 gallon is the same as the 5, the 5 is just longer.

The MSRP is awesome for all that it comes with.

The males head in the picture must be a kid too.

Still, pretty cool for a compact, all in one tank.

They are pretty sweet. We run one with an Innovative Marine light on it. I'll post some pictures later today.
