Any Irish Setter Owners?

    so i just lost my 12 year old irish setter kelly...she had a tumor growing and this morning couldnt stand up on her own and had a extremely high fever...the vets told my parents that either we could put her down or put her on an iv and drugs and just delay the enviable...so we decided to ease her pain and put her down...anyone got pics of their irish setters or own 1? i still one left she is 6 and i also got a mini pincher...ill post pics of them in a few

    I don't own an irish setter, but I own an American Brittany, that is closest related to an english Setter.

    That said, regardless of what kind of dog she was, I send out my condolences.

    My Lab int he avatar is 12, and as spry as he is still, I don't want to think about him not being with us.

    We lost our 14+ year old bernese/ lab mix like 2 Easters ago, and it still hurts to think about it.

    yeah its really weird when u lose a pet...cause ur soo used to them they r like a part of ur schedule and when random parts of the day ur looking for them and they never come..it hurts..and imma grown man!

    sorry to hear jay. icant even imagine what it feels like to let a dog go. after all most of us feel like they are part of the family. stay strong brother. get another if you can, it'll help ease the pain

    im really sorry for your lose jay. its incredibly painful losing a loved one like that.

    Oh I'm so sorry for your loss. I know I can't say anything to make the pain better, but I am truly sorry. You made the right choice about putting her down, even though it's one of the hardest decisions. I put down my 18 year old cat last year (totally unexpected), and it was really weird at first with him not being around...but you get used to it, the pain eases, and then you just remember the good times. Sorry again.

    yeah it helps that i got 2 other dogs...it helps ALOT...and now my family is in the market for another pup!
