    it started about a month ago, real slow, i been sucking it out with my weekly water change,and usually it is only about 1/2" around the worms head, but since sunday, it has grown quite quickly.
    its only in that spot on the surface of the sand and does not seem to be bothering anything yet.

    water parameters were decent on sunday and i need to get some new test drops as i ran out a bit ago.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Looks like Cyanobacteria to me as well, I would try improving flow to the area.

    LOL someone got confused. That's cyanobacteria, aka red slime. FWIW, that's not a worm, it's a tube anemone. :)

    +1 if that don't work add a little red slime remover to the tank and it'll be gone in no time (read red slime remover directions carefully)

    thanks mr bill, (i lauged at your name, mr bill is very alive in my home, my bull dog has a mr bill doll he plays with and it says oooo noooo when he steps on it)

    yes i know its an anemone, for some reason i always say its a tube worm, my bad.
    yes, i thought it was cyano, any idea why its only showing up around the tube?
