Any ideas of what these things are?

    The first one I found under a piece of live rock and then the second one I cut open the poor guy and found those. Any ideas of what either of the pictures are? thanks Karma for any answers ;D

    It's a sponge. But unfortunately now that it has been exposed to air will not survive. They are great for your tank and are a good indicator that everything it going well.

    If it does die it will not cause any ammonia spike or anything so best to get it back in the water

    if that's the second picture you posted, that's a mushroom. You can see the bodies coming out from the stress. Once again, good tank companion.

    Hard to tell, but it actually looks like the underside of some type of mushroom coral- the squiggly white strands look like where it might have been anchored at one point. You may want to get it back in the water if it isn't already dead...

    You can reattach it by placing it in a low flow area on some crushed coral, then once attached, glue the CC to the rock

    Its definitely a mushroom, I just wasn't sure what the white things were coming out. Wasn't sure if it was some type of parasite or something.

    Nope- no parasites that I can see, just the strands that it used to anchor to the rock
