So I went to change my chemi pure elite today, and i have 2 of the small 6.5 oz ones. Opened up one and i found a colony of small ants living among the carbon and what not. I could see thousands of eggs and everything!!! Weirdest thing is, THEY WERE IN THE UNOPENED ONE!! I opened the second, expecting to see a utopia of them, i found not a 1. WTH!!!

I rinsed them out, i dont wanna use that batch in my tank in fear for my tank. Has this happened to anyone else?!

I wish i woulda snapped a picture now. They looked like very small fire ants. they were the size of sugar ants, but i know the difference, these ones were fire. Im glad i found it before it was a full fledged ant farm.
