the whole idea of live rock is to have the good bacteria that's growing on it so i think u should not wash it off.

How much rock are you adding? and to what size tank? How much rock is already in there? If it was in the tank at the LFS it shouldn't need to be rinsed, and a FW rinse may kill the beneficial bacteria on the rock. However, if there was any die off on the rock from the move, then adding it to the tank could cause a cycle. If it's not much rock you should be fine. But if its a significant amount you may cause a cycle. Are there inhabitants in the tank?

If it's truly "cured" and has not be left out of water for more than a few minutes I wouldn't "wash" it.

Washing live rock is more common for rock delivered in the mail. Depending on the LFS tank it came from you might want to consider a dip & shake in a bucket of fresh salt water just to knock any chunks loose, but no I wouldnt wash it per say.

here is one way of "cleaning" LFS rock

Do a W/C and use the "dirty" tank water with a Mag pump with a hose attached to the output to "spray" the rock off and use a stiff brush to help knock off any heavy deitrus or mud/dirt and dead plat material or sponges
