I had ich a few days ago and most of my fish died. I was able to save 2. My clown and my goby. They are still a bit sick but definetly getting better. I was going to take my tank down because I didn't want more fish that will die just like that and then have to wait 2 months fishless... for the ich o go away. When I realized I liked this hobby way to much to just give up. So after taking everything down, lol I put everything back up. I washed everything the sand, the rocks, the tank, the filter. Then I added the water waited a dy to settle, and went to get a fish to start cycle with. I didn't want a fish that I will have problems with later on after the cycle so I got two clowns.
To my surprise, I found that they had ich 3 days later. So today the fourth day I decided to QT before it's too late, but I still have one clown on the main tank. I want to QT him too but the problem is that I already have my old survivor clown, and the clown I added today.
So my question is. If I put this other clown in. Will there be any problem? Like maybe getting more sick? Or fighting? I'm treating the QT with copper, and all of my fish are eating well.

How do you know that all of your parameters are good in just a few days. Sounds like the fish are stressed out. how big is the tank, and what are the current water conditions?

I got the clowns for the cycle... LFS said it was ok. Parameters are checked twice a week. As espected on a cycle, ammonia levels need to go up, followed by nitrates... But what I do, is add prime so that it won't go up to dangerous levels. Although I haven't got any spikes yet. But my question is if I can go ahead and qt all of the fish? That is 3 clowns ( false percula) on my hospital tank.

as far as ich goes most fish have ich all the time and it just takes the right conditions to bring it out be ot parameters or stress.

so if it were me i would not of broken down a thing but let the tank ride its course.

asfor three clowns in one tank i would be careful of that depending on tank size and type of clowns.

this as always is just my two salty cents
