So I am a noob-I will apologize in advance. I was looking to post a pic of my Neon Dottyback hosting my Red Goniopora Flower Pot Coral and stumbled onto to "TANGVILLE"
    MY "Q"
I have a 75 gallon, have had it set up for about 3 months-3rd tank long story for another thread....
Anyway I recently added an Orange Shoulder Tang to my 75 gallon which already has a Purple Tang. You can see the tail of the Orange to the left of my "Tyree" toadstool-LOL

In others opinion is my tank not large enough to house the 2. They had issues the first day but all is good since then-Just thought I would throw this out there for opinions.
I searched the threads but did not view all 111 pages with "tang" in it:shame:

Thanks Will, The tank started as 24 gallon Nano last November, I went through the Nano, and the a 80 gallon Acrylic and then landed on the 75 gallon glass-plus I am a junkie or addict to reefing.

The good luck comment-could you add a little insight or expound? Like they'll grow to big, they'll fight, all of the above.
The Orange is probablly 5 inches the Purple is 3 to 3.5 inches- All seems well for now UNTIL dun dun dun dun.........

I have 4 tangs in a 90 and they are happy as clams. I think the reason most people have issues wit them is they start feeding heavy because they think they need to.

    I have

    Yellow Tang
    Blue Tang
    Thomson Tang
    Naso Tang
    2 x Fire fish

I have had 0 reading on everything for over 4 months. Will they out grow my tank? Of corse in like 4 years. By that time I am sure I will have a 120 :p

personally, I think it's dangerous with 1 in there. that's just me. I have a 150 gallon and I kinda feel guilty about having tangs in it. That's just me.

How old are your tangs? The biggest problem you will see with multiple tangs in a tank smaller than 150 is when they get to maturity they will become more and more territorial and will not enjoy each others company.

    Yup.

I've seen tangs successfully kept like this before. Happy and healthy? I dunno.

Happy fish live in the sea. Healthy fish live a long time. Your logic has a huge flaw

I totally agree. People say there tangs have enough room but they might think otherwise if they truely saw the speed these fish are capable of with more room.

Wanna see how fast my car can go? :p Doesn't mean it needs to. Just a thought. I agree these fish do require plenty of open space for swimming happily!
