    Thanks, all good suggestions...but I've done just about all of those or variations of them before, LOL! I really want to do something that's fairly different from all the tanks I've done before. I do appreciate everyone's input...it's giving plenty to think about and some options I had not considered.

    always wanted to do a spotlight tank. a par38 bulb and have a spotlight in the middle of the tank on some LR with sps with cree leds around it with acans fungia etc.

    Those are cool...kind of what you see in some of the Japanese style tanks.
