Nah I don't think so because I have green star polyps, Unless there are different kinds that look different.

Galaxia. They are fast growing and relatively easy to keep. Looks like miniature frogspawn or torch.

There are several variations of green star polyps. They all have a mat and all react and look similar. I have 4 different kinds in my 72g. Some are almost brown mats and skinny dark green polyps and some of them very deep purple mats with thick bright green polyps.

That looks like green star polyps to me, just kind of strange that is it growing like that. Second guess would be galaxia like Reefwizard stated.

I agree with the galaxia. be sure to keep it around 6 inches away from any other coral, the have looooong feeder tentacles

I believe there are different kinds. I have 2 GSP. One is the standard purple GSP you see everywhere, but the other i have grows in a white tube-like structure and is a bit more grass green than the other.

either way it's Definitely a star polyp of some sort.

key word, mat. if it was gsp it wouldnt be in a big lump, it would simply be a mat across the rock

Ok, I have two different type of GSP. The one with the purple mat & the one with the pink tubes. But this coral I believe it's a Galaxia, Because it does seem to have feeder tentacles. I could be wrong tho keep the guess coming.
