I am going to try frozen mysids and baby brine shrimp. Don't worry, there's nothin they can eat at this size. They are about as long and wide as a fingernail.

FWIW, I'm all for wild collection as long as it's done within the laws of your region, in a sustainable / nonpolluting manner (i.e. nets vs cyanide), and to fish that are not in any way threatened or near impossible to keep (unless you have the means to rear them and/or aim to breed them or something)

I don't know what the end result of 60 anglers will be in a captive reef, but probably no worse than they'd fare in the wild. The only drawback I see is that you'll be depriving some larger fish a tasty snack.

If you're interested in captive breeding of them then starting with a single brood isn't ideal, but if you just want to raise a bunch and pawn them off on LFS's and such then it sounds like a plan.

Also, PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

    :p

ok gotteeguy, since there SO SMALL you need copepods, and fast. there still in the copepod eating faze, and will be for a little bit, setup a smaller tank for copepods and but some plastic in there (will create diatoms which copepods eat) and you should have a good farm in a few days. feed them 2-3 times daily until they can accept larger foods ex. baby brine shrimp.

good luck and i can help you as much as needed.

Good, because I have phytoplankton and I also have a plankton net. I could scoop out some plankton from the spot I found them in. I ordered some pods for my mandarin from the LFS. They are frozen though. But I do have brine and mysids.
