Depending on how large your tank is you could go with one, or a pair, of the genicanthus angels. (Lamarck's, Swallowtail, Watanabei, or Bellus) They are considered to be more reef safe then the dwarf angels are, although no angel should ever be considered 100% reef safe, they are all suspect to nipping.

I think you may be talking about a juvenile Imperator, here's a juvie next to the adult form:

    They get really big.

I really thought that a true "Reef Safe" dwarf angel was not existent.
I love angelfish, specially the dwarf kind, but I can't have them in my tank for some reason. I tried 2 lemon peels and a flame and they all died refusing to eat, then going lethargic and hiding behind the rockwork until dead. That got me pretty upset and I decided not to try any more dwarf angels... my tank is an angel killer.

my flame angel loved my tank, lots of rock work for him to go around, He loved it when I rearranged everything in the tank because he had new nooks and crannies to go in and out of. Very personable fish. I remember when I put him in my 120 from my 30 gallon basically all the rock from the 30 went to the 120 and it looked like a little reef in my 120 and he stuck in close once I started placing more rock in he got really excited and every time I added rock he would immediatly inspect it out, sometimes before I could even let go of the rock.

    sorry for your loss.

I just lost my coral beauty that I had for a good year and I replaced him with a potter's angel fish. Alittle more expensive but great colors and mine is reef safe but they are known to pick at corals but not any more then a coral beauty.

Yea, my flame angel I noticed picking at some corals but he was delicate about it, not really picking off any buds but more cleaning than anything.
