Hi there i recently purchased a small anemony (you can see it in my photos)
problem is i cant get it to settle in one place!
Are there any conditions they prefer? do they prefer to be on rock or sand?
Im not sure of the species so if anyone could take a look and let me know that would be great!!

Any help or info on anemones would be greatly appreciated.

Also should i turn off my powerheads off for a few days to let it anchor down??
It seems the current keeps blowing it around the tank?
(it has dissapeared into my live rock a few times and ive had to lift it out!)
Or should i just let it be?????
    HELP!

its not gonna sit still until it finds the right amount it likes and the right spot it feel comfortable so your just gonna have to get use to it.but i would put it on top of all your rock closer to the light.make sure you got enoiugh light on there for him too.needa find wat kind of anenome it is to check for light needs.

If anemones are mobile they are not happy. Anemones need the highest of the light requirements in the tank.....that's VHO or MH usually. make sure he is getting enough lights and that he can't get caught up in your powerheads or filters while he is wandering. When they wander they can also sting other tank inhabitants....Just let it do it's thing.

how old is your tank? What type of lights? Water condition...parems....ammonia, nitrates etc?

These animals should not be kept in any tank that is under 1 year old period, with or without proper lights etc!

I had an RBTA and I traded it in. It was doing well, hadnt moved in 8 months...grew etc. Then it decided to just move in front of the rock it was on and stung my SPS corals. Just not worth it. Not to mention will nuke your tank if it dies and gets sucked up
