i just set up my 29 bow front tank and am in the process of deciding what anemone i want. I know they are considered inverts but is there anything to watch out for or levels to keep special track of and they are omnivores for the most part?

no anemone for at least 1 year! Period. They are for only experience aquarist and pristine tank and lighting conditions.

nems would most likely whither away in a newly established tank. my advise is, to wait a while for your tank to mature before adding a nem.
also, your water chemistry needs to be stable.
For the most part, they are photosynthetic and carnivores.
You need to be careful with nems, they are very delicate inverts and can easily wipe out your entire tank if not properly cared for.

Here's a bunch of info for ya. Like said before, make sure your tank is well established, you have enough light, and you're aware of all of the potential pitfalls of having an anemone (getting caught in powerheads, going down the overflow, wandering around stinging other corals, some types of anemone may eat small fish).

I think this is a good start.
