Yeah I also tried that method. I glued a little bowl of live rock together to put my RBTA in like a well, but it ended crawling off in a few mins and ended up at the top of my rock stack where it stayed since.

For my nem it was most interested in getting very close to the light, both of mine ended up near the top portion of the tank. I am only running PC's on my tank so I'm getting T5's next week so they should be more than happy with them.

5 month old tank is young for an anemone in my opinion – just saying.

Annick gave you solid advice, let him stay unmolested and monitor him. If he begins to decay pull him out.

I would not suggest feeding him, when they eat it add to stress on the body. I wish you luck, please keep up posted.

I dont unerstand why leaving the anenome in the powehead is being suggested? Why not atleast remove the upper chamber/flow cap portion from the lower chamber, incase he's tangled in the impeller or between the impeller and upper portion? even if he cant be removed from the upper portion, atleast he be able to be set on the substrate.

You could tear the anemone's body even more. He is able to get out on his own.

but I believe removing the upper chamber and flow cap from the impeller can be done and will help, without pulling on its body.

i understand what you are saying. it would be alot lighter for him to get out but I can't get it twisted off. so i just have the whole thing laying on the sand.
