My bubbletip anemone got stuck in my 29 gal biocube filter slits a week or so ago... and he slowly started deteriorating quickly then eventually died anyway, i got rid of it by pulling it out and i guess a piece ripped off and stayed in the bottom part of the first chamber and i just noticed it in there and it looks alive! His foot is attached and hes pretty big.. My question is.. how do i get him back into the tank? i dont think he can get back in with the filter running and i cant just keep the filter off till he decides to come out. Any help is very appreciated ;]

When this happend to My buddy put a piece of silverside up close to the overflow slots, and the anem eventually made his way back up and from there he grabbed him and put him in the DT.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Now what do you mean by the overflow slots? cuz its in the bottom part of the first chamber.. so did you stick the silverside in the top part of the chamber? And would krill work? cuz i dont have any silversides but ill get some if i need to lol

Krill will work, and yea the top of the chamber and he will move up there cause he smells the food, and he's not getting nutrients from any light back there.

I am thinking that once it heals up, cause it most likely split (the dead part didn't make it but that guy did... He will make his way back up to the light. I know they like to hide after they split. Temping with food sounds like a good idea too. I know ice cubes will make them detach their foot, and you can wedge a credit card under it very gently it get him up stuck. I am thinking you can't get your hand down in there from the sound of the set up... could be wrong Good Luck!

I've seen BTAs 'tickled' into letting go by waving a hand briskly in front of them. If you can't reach it with your hand, you might try with something else. Just be careful not to injure it.
