    Bought a new anemone after my gbta got into my powerhead.

    Wanting to know what kind it is.

    Im having problems getting it to attach. And im not sure if it needs to be in sand or rock.

    Its foot is reddish/pink and it had rows of white dots on the underside of the disk.

    Long tentacle? It's really hard to tell from the picture. Can you get a better picture? Perhaps someone will chime in based on this one. Bump :)

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Macrodactyla doreensis, Long Tentacle Anemone. There are Verrucae (bumps) on the base which is orange. Will attach to the base of the rock or glass. Get large diameter PVC pipe and place foot/base within.

    You both were correct. I moved it to a more suitable location, it attached fairly quick and is open and looking good.
