I recently purchased a bubble tip anemone for my tank. I acclimated it last night, left the pump off for awhile, and just turned the lights on this morning. It moved to a spot and stayed there for a few hours before it shriveled up. Need some advice. Thanks

can you let us know a few things:

    - how old is the tank?

    - what are your water params?

    - what type of light is over the tank?

    - was the nem healthy in the store prior to purchase (foot wasn't ripped/mouth was healthy, etc.)?

    - any pics of the shriveled nem?

    BTW welcome to 3reef

it looks like everythings gonna go pretty good. you definately waited long enough for your tank to mature. most people dont have that kind of patience.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Not unusual for them to "shrivel" or deflate while acclimating. As long as it remains footed, does not have a gaping oral opening it should be fine.

I would give it at least 48 hours to re-inflate. If it looks like it's declining further please post an image.

    :)
