ane stuck in a powerhead

My mom had the exact same thing happen. She got him out, his guts actually came out and looked like he had a tear from an edge to the middle of him. He shrunk up so tiny like the size of a quarter. He normally was about 6-8 inches. She let him be but did water changes and now hes perfectly fine. I still cant believe he survived with no guts!

 

not that i realy want do it i have a 55g tank. LR takes most of the room. i also have lots of big rocks i could split. my LR is only half way up the tank but i have really no room to clean. so what i was thinking about as much as i hate doing it tanking out the rock spliting them and rearragning. now can LR touch the glass? ill prob have to go and get more sand no big deal. but should the LR go all the to the top. i have all kinds of corals that like being on top. the only thing is my my lighting is over 700w but notting is sad in my tank atm bsides the ane. forgot to mentionn i have about 115lbs of LR.
