ane dead?

It's perfectly normal for them to close occasionally. Once a week feeding of 1 or 2 small pieces of meaty food should be plenty.

 

wow really i ead feeding them everyday some where. who knows. when this time he was move and didnt gate sucked tinto a pwrhead yet dont have nylons on them yet but waiting to see what happens. ive seen the mouth open but not gasping like others have asked. amm is still good. so maybe he just doesnt like wheres hes living .

 

Contrary to popular belief, not all nems appreciate strong lighting and current. Each one has its own preferences for both. As long as your parameters are in check, I'm sure it will find a place to settle; although in one case with a Condy I had, it was the back side of the rocks where he could barely be seen.

As for feeding, their digestive systems are relatively slow. Feeding too much or too often can become extremely stressful for most nems. In fact, if it settles where it can catch bits of fish food, it most likely won't need target-fed at all.

 

dont think its dea atm it has moved as a LTA liking sand and rocks it founds it home on some rocks. i do have some discoloration on some tens but not much. i think this ane is to big for my tank . but i would give it a try since i got a great price on him. water smells fine and no amm spikes yet. ihave a 55g tank mostly rocks so i dont know if he will find a nice spot. . just trying to get my clown to host it is all in trying to do. its a nemo type. havent put knee highs on the pwrheads yeat but it move whith out getting caught in it . got to say this is my 1st ane .

 

ane has moved between LR and glass. everything sems normal atm but nvr go a suggestion of useing the wife nylons or buyiny new one .

 

Old ones will be fine as long as they're clean.
