Amphipods bothering a Clam

Would a lighting system such as this be suitable for the clam or still underpowered?

Price is a bit of an issue at the moment which is why I'm staying away from some of the Aquatic Life brand light.

 

Not really. Did you read the reviews from that page?

 

I saw the reviews and because I was looking for an LED based lighting system I'm trying to use that as a benchmark. The quality control actually seemed much better on the Single lit version but half the brightness.

I'm avoiding going with non-LED lights because of heat issues in the summer, in an apartment, and this tank is temporary until I can get a large one where I am willing to spend on quality equipment.

 

for a clam you need a 250 watt halide or better or lights that are equivalent to it.
