i woke up a about a month ago to find my coral in my nanocube curling up and not looking healthy, my ammonia was off the charts, i found out i had a dead fish so i took it out, did water change and thought everything would be fine.the tank is 2 yrs old. next 2 days everything was dead and my ammonia was soooo high! i hate using chemicals but i did and i think thats my cause , i had a million worms floating at the top of my tank. my question is could the live rock die from toxic parameters and give off ammonia as well?

Quite possible, since LR is just "living stuff on a rock".
