hello i have been cycling my tank for a month and a couple days.

for the last week or so my tank has been stuck at .25 ppm ammonia. nitrates are around 40ppm and climbing.

what should i do? go ahead and do a water change?

its a 15 gallon with 15 pounds of dry rock and some live rock to jump start bacterial growth. it has a pump moving water for now.

i have a CUC in now.

Do a 25% water change and watch it for a couple of days. if it doesn't decline, do another one.

Did you ask it nicely to remove itself? :p

I agree with above posters, you just have a stalled cycle.
