I found my Anemone on the slotted area of my Hydor this morning! n He looked fine but still not sure... Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

If by Hydor you mean Koralia (assuming you do) then get some filter sock material and slide it over the slotted area of the pump. This worked great for me. I know tatted4ever has a mod for the old version of the koralias, you may want to look that up.

Honestly, not really. The only way you can prevent it from getting chopped up would be zip tieing plastic canvas on the slitted parts. If it does happen, turn the powerhead off and let the nem get out on its own.

So the old ones, yeah, just cut a large size media bag like Seachem. The Bag or some cheesecloth. Zip tie it on.

I used gutterguard and zipties on my Koralias when I had them in my old 55g with nems. You should be able to get it at Depot or Lowes. Nothing is 100% foolproof but I never had any issues with them getting sucked in, and my nems were very close to one of my Koralia (as you see below).

Another thing you may want to think about, is why is the nem wandering. It must not be happy with the amount of light or flow it's getting.
