    Hi Guys,

It seems like there is something in my tank that I can't identify every single day. I woke up way before the sun came up this morning to go to work and noticed this clear thing on my front glass. I thought that it might have been one of my nassarius snails out of his shell, and didn't have a lot of time to look. I came home this afternoon and it seems to be in the same location, but the footprint has spread out in all directions. It has a translucent, round foot print but has a raised body. I looked on some of the ID sites and the only thing that comes remotely close is a flat worm. It doesn't seem to have a forked end and seem to only be growing and not moving. Is that what this is? If so, what should I do with it? If it isn't a flat worm, does anyone know what it is? I got some pretty good shots from the front of the glass but can't get a focused one from the side that shows the top. In one of the pictures, you can see an amphipod on it. Thanks for the help!!!

    Regards,
    Ivy

Hmm. I don't recognize it. Sorry.

I'm sure someone will hook you up. Maybe pagojoe or inwall75. Those two guys are pretty familiar with most things I've never seen. The wonder of it all. . .

Not sure what it is either. That amphipod sure does like it though;). Either way it doesn't look like a keeper. The amphipods, on the other hand, are a [SCROLL]score..........

You can see the amphipod real well in this pic

    Thanks guys,

I think that I will do a little scraping a sucking in a minute. I have tons of amphipods. I had a few bristle worms but they have been MIA for a couple of months now.

Looks like nassarius poop. Mine leave that behind everytime they move on the glass....is the "poop" moving? I bet it was just some good ol snail feces.

It's a flatworm eating an amphipod and some sort of snail.

The clear area has gotten bigger throughout the day. The amphipod in the picture crawled away so I doubt that he was being eaten, but he may have been getting a free snack. If it is a flat worm, what would be the best method of getting him out? Thanks!!!!!

What the hay?????? Is the opaque portion of the pic part of the flatworm? And those are the guts next to the amphipod?

The opaque oval is the flatworm. You can see some food in it's digestive system. I don't know what the big thing is next to the amphipod but one would assume a snail.
