My 120 Gallon mixed reef (SPS dominant) tank is closing in on the one year mark, and I felt that I should document the tiny reef that I have begun so everyone can enjoy it.

A little info on the tank, this is my first saltwater tank. I have no sump on the tank, but want to upgrade and build a new stand so I finally can make use of a sump/fuge. I had a small tank with some fish I don't remember as a kid, but this is my first real tank.

For lighting I run a Nova Extreme Pro 48 in T 5 system. All the bulbs have been upgraded to Geisseman bulbs.

For circulation I am running a Koralia Wavemaker with 3 adjustable K4's and one adjustable K3. I also have a Powerhead 402 (no brand?) for added laminar flow.

For filtration I am running an Eshopps HOB skimmer (until I can build a new stand, sump/fuge).
I also run a Via Aqua 20/20 media reactor with Bellaphos.

    Stocking list:

    Fish:

    1 Yellow Tang (4-5 inches)
1 Blue Hippo Tang (4-5 inches)
    1 Diamond Goby (3-4 inches)
    1 cleaner wrasse (2 inches)
    2 Green Chromis (2 inches)
    2 Misbar Oscellaris (mated pair)

    Inverts:

    1 LTA
    1 Blue Tuxedo Urchin
    1 Tiny Pencil Urchin (hitchhiker)
    1 Brittle Starfish
    1 Squasmosa Clam
    2 Conch
    2 Crocea Clams
    Handful of Astrea/Turbo/Hermits/Nassarius

    Coral:

    Frogspawn
    Torch
    Acans
    Bubble Coral
    Too many SPS ;)
    Too many Softies ;D

I hope everyone enjoys and this has been a very relaxing and rewarding hobby to partake in. ;D

I feed it small pieces of frozen krill and then whatever it catches out of the water column. It is about the size of a honeydew melon.

I think it is a LTA, but I went over to the guys house that I got it from (his nem split and I got the clone from him), but is nem had the quint essential bubble tips and appeared more like a rose. I don't know what is up with this, but it is very wierd. The only difference is he is running PC lighting and I am running T 5.

Thanks a lot guys. I would like to get some info from you on what could make my life easier. I know a sump and fuge will improve water quality and volume, but what about controllers? CO2 systems? Anything else I should know about that could help out?

Thanks! I am thinking about redoing the aquascape and drilling my rock so I can make some more vertical pillars that are much more stable. I have not made up my mind on this though.

Thanks. I know it will be a lot of work, but I hope it will be worth it. I must say I am a reefer now! It is hard for me to go to the LFS and only walk out with fish food or water...if you know what I mean. :)
