    Keep an eye on the Xenia. It may not do well in a cycling tank. I have heard of blackout protocols for algae control that last 3 days. This might be the upper threshold of no lighting. 2 days would be the most I would risk on my corals.

    It would be aerobic bacteria actually. The anaerobic kind grow in the sand bed. But live rock is live because of bacteria and they aren't photosynthetic so dont need light.

    Anaerobic areas are also supposed to exist deep within the LR. That is what I have read several times, at least. :-/
