I have noticed this green algae starting to grow all over my rock work it actually looks good yet it seems to be spreading into my DSB and my CUC seems not to be able to keep up with its spread. Do i need to be trying to control it? If so how?

    Thanks Again

What does it feel like? Can you pull it off? It might be coraline, my rocks turn green before they turn purple

+1^ My sand has green coralline growing on it in spots too. I think the only way to get rid of it is to stir the stand a little.

I have a few spots of dark green on my rocks as well. Doesn't seem to "spread" like algae which led me to believe that it is coralline.

The top of the rock is a little washed out in the picture but you may very well be going through the same.

Hey all thanks for getting back to me i have been soooooo busy i have neglected my tank this week.

Well i cant pull it off that is the greenish algae it seems To be growing on top of the rocks facing my light fixture, it also is noticeable on my DT front glass if i wait a day or so without scrubbing it shows me being a neat freak it drives me crazy....LOL

I noticed the growth mainly about a month of so after adding RO/DI water from the super market machines. It all seems ok except foe the greenish algae.

Again thanks to all for the feedback and advise
