    I'm pretty close to the end of of a cycle (I know I keep saying this, but I really believe it this time). Anyway, I'm getting some algae now, which I'm told is not only part of the cycle, but actually a good sign. Any thoughts?

    I should add, it looks like nitrites are down to about .25 (really, these color charts, there has to be a better way), and nitrates are somewhere between 10 and 20ppm.

    it depends upon what you mean by good, i would never think acne is good, but it usually means your growing up as a child.

    you wont really beable to do much with algae as your still cycling besides turning the lights off. watch out for hair algae as that can linger longer then the cycle
