I know that left over flakes and more so frozen food we try not to over feed and take the left overs out with a net if possible. My tang eats the algae sheets but makes a bit of a mess and doesnt eat every bit of it and the particles float around the tank til it goes in the over flow or finds a place on the ground. Is this reason for concern? Writing this now I would think not because there is algae all over the place and the cuc gets to it as well. Any thoughts?

That shouldnt be a problem at all. I constantly have algea chunks from my rabbit fish floating around. Seems they like to tear it off the clip and chase it down. Do you have a refugium?

water quality parameters will tell you if you have a problem resulting from uneaten food stuffs - if your Nitrates stay low , and dont escalate, then IMO your fine
