Haha thank youuu. I'm wayy too paranoid I'd get all my other fish sick to not QT new ones lol. I did put some thought into not buying a female clown though. When I bought the new one, there were 3 clowns in the tank, and I bought one of the smaller ones. So hopefully it's a male. They seem to be getting along better today. Definitely some fin nipping going on, but really not AS much as I expected. Hopefully it'll subside in the next few days though.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Good idea on choosing the clown. The deal with clowns is though that you may have bought an obvious male, but if left alone for as little as 2 weeks, that clown could already be in the process of becoming a female. I guess you will find out in the upcoming weeks.

Yahh we shall seeee! It's interesting to watch them. My female that I've had is the one that has all the nips on her fins, surprisingly lol. She's always been the rowdy one really. The new clown has really just been scoping out the tank, and the female will come bother it. I'm interested to see who ends up giving it to the other, and becomes the dominant one. Honestly, I'd be surprised if the female I've had doesn't end up staying as the female. She's always thought herself the "king" of the tank. Until the flame hawk puts her in her place haha. They're both shaking at eachother though, which is good..

So it looks like the clowns have sorted out their issues. The new clown is most definitely the male, so it looks like it never switched to fem during the QT. Or maybe my females too much of a beast to let that happen haha. Anyways. Nothing new with the tank really.. I'm shopping around for my next fish at the moment. An LFS by me has the coolest mystery wrasse that's the perfect size for my 40.. But it's pretty expensive. So we'll seee.

Hey yall. I was just doing my nightly stare down of the tank, and snapped a few pics on my phone. So I figured I'd do a lil update for any followers out there. Everythings doing pretty well. I was out of town all wknd, with my neighbor feeding the fish. So, as anticipated he over fed a little, and I came home to some algae here and there. I did a water change today, so I'm sure all will be well in a few days. The fish are all looking good! I'm still deciding as to what kind I'll be getting next.. I just got a new job that pays a lot better than my last, and the mystery wrasse that's still at my LFS is really tempting me haha. Anyways, all the corals are looking good, and showing good growth. Even my millepora has really colored up and started to spread quite a bit. I have some clove polyps that have been on the decline for sometime though. Slowly but surely, for whatever reason they've been dying off. So I may just trash them soon. I read that wild cloves don't do very well once brought into a tank. I know that they're straight from the sea, so that may just be it. Oh well. The tank will be 5 months on the 5th, crazy how time seems to fly looking back isn't it..

Enjoy the crappy pics. I really need to invest in a halfway decent camera haha.
