Alright, I just bought a 115 gallon tank that hasn't been used in 5yrs with a lot of pretty good equipment with it. One piece of the equipment was a CC protein skimmer which needs a bit of cleaning, but relatively speaking it's okay.

However, they had lost the air pump in the 5 yrs they didn't have the setup running, and now I need to get one. Normally this would be easy but the sticker identifying which brand/model of skimmer it is has worn off... So, from some research I've decided that I most likely need a 7 psi pump to get it running plus an airstone. Any advice on which pump is the most silent, best running? Also, what's a good airstone?

I am not sure but that sounds like a real old basic skimmer. For that size tank you may want to invest in a new one.

Agree 1000%. Skimmers that used an air pump went extinct with the dinosaurs. I personally won't waste my time trying to fix that skimmer.

+1 on treating yourself to a new skimmer as it is the heart of a good reef system IMHO

although having used both the Red Sea 90 and Aquamedic Midi flotor air driven skimmers within the last couple of years, I will say that both pleasantly surprised me in terms of amount of skimmate these collected
