Aiptasia???

    im pretty sure its aiptasia but i just want to make sure and if it is can i just pluck it off its on my top rock so it wouldnt be a prob and the rock has only been in a few days??? and on the second pic im wondering what those little things are there so small and they look like single strands of like spider web with little blue like bubbles i dont know?

    Nah, looks like hair algea, if it is (not sure) use a toothbrush.

    ok i tried to pluck it out but it sucked in its hole so now i have no clue?????

    If it's the little 5-tentacled thing in the center of the first picture..it's not aiptasia..they have the same general shape but are clear and stay really small..not sure what's they're called but I have a few in my tank..i don't think they're anything to worry about

    Could be that too..either way..i wouldn't worry. You'll know an aiptasia when you see one. They're nasty.

    I deleted my post because I really wasn't sure that's what I was seeing :D I'm starting to think that it's not a fan worm based on the shape of the animal. It may very well be a tiny bleached out aiptasia but I can't be positive.

    yea its the thing in the first pic...did yours get any bigger or does it stay that size...and the second pic the things are so small its hard to get a pic

    Boy, I tell you, I looked hard and see nothing resembling Aptasia. I see a lot of Vermetid Snails.

    The ones in my tank haven't gotten any bigger..they stay around 2mm.
