I have been getting more aiptasia recently. I use Aiptasia X and it seems to ork at first but maybe a week later they return. I turn off the pumps before I blast them with the Aiptasia X. What usually causes Aiptasia?

Aptasia X works well for a small outbreak, but you most likely have some where you can't see or get to. Have you tried peppermint shrimp? There are a lot of mixed reviews on whether they work or not, but I have always had very good luck getting the good ones, and for so cheap they are worth a try.

By using the Aiptasia X do you think I am getting more? I hit them pretty good with the pumps off but they always seem to come back in different places.

Aiptasia have a unique defense system. If they feel that their in danger, they release they're eggs so the species continues and doesnt die with it. Nice huh? Thats why I like to use Peppers.

Be sure that when you use Aptasia X, you cover the entire oral disk with it. It's supposed to seal them up and prevent them from releasing their spores.

Peppermint shrimp are the way to go. I noticed a few small aiptasia starting to pop up and I added a couple peppermints to the tank. They keep them in check, don't eliminate them, but anytime I see one starting to grow a little, its eaten soon.
