Aiptasia to small to inject

Well i tried to inject it with boiling water and lemon juice cause i cant seem to find any joe's juice. But i guess i missed it. As soon as the needle touched it it went deep in the LR so i didnt get to it. Now as i was looking at the LR waiting for it to come back out i noticed what i think are about 50 (maybe more) little freakin aiptasia. There so small you can barelly see them. It looks like the Lr has some fuzz on it but when you look closer you can see each individual polyps. So if all those things are aiptasia what the heck do i do now... I guess pepermint shrimp??? Any ideas

Make a paste of Kalk. Take kalk powder and add just enough water to to make a thick paste. Turn off your circ pumps. Use a small dropper and try to feed the aiptasia the kalk. Last time I did this the dumb aiptasia ate the kalk and then retracted. For good measure I cover over the little bugger in the kalk paste as well. No more aiptasia! If you hurt a Zoo you hurt a Zoo a tank full of aipastia will hurt them more.

I went to my LFs during my lunch hour and he gave me a small bag of Kalk powder. So ill try it tonight... He also told me to mix the powder with water, wait a little until the powder settles and use the water thats on top and not the sediment (paste) at the bottom. i dont know, what do you guys think? maybe to inject them but if i want to try to cover them like Covey said i should use the paste right?

I had an aiptasia outbreak. I had large and small ones in a week or so! I bought one peppermint shrimp and he cleaned them all up in one week. The shrimp can stay in your tank without harming anything.

 

Im not woried about the shrimp eating anything else... i just personnaly dont like them. Plus i have a wrasse, its a six line but still wrasses and shrimps dont really mix in book.

The kalk paste sticks better it will stay on the Aiptasia for up to 20 mins with no pumps on. The liquid would be easier to inject.

 

This is an interesting thread. What did you end up doing, Marc? I have the EXACT same thing going on. I found a tiny little aiptasia between some zoas I just bought. Not really sure how to get it. I'm probably going to buy a couple peppermint shrimp next month, are those a sure fire way to get rid of small ones?
