Has any one ever used Berghia Verrucicornis Nudibranch to kill Aiptasia? It's said that the only thing it eat's is the aiptaisa. A web site that sells them as a neat little articale. www.berghia.net a long time ago i bought some green star polyops and i noticed these nudibranch's on it white with yellow tips awsome i said. i love bonus buys so i looked them up and the only thing they ate was you know it star polyops i hated killing them. i could'nt belive how many different nudibranch's there are wow! please input thank you all

Just ordered 7 for 120.00 bucks for my buddy who has about 100+ big ass aptasia. Big ones, that could eat shrimp, jk. They are pricey but worth it. I added them to his tank and two of the nudis were eatn by the aptasia, they ate their way out of the aptasia. It was pretty cool, to see the aptasia jerking around. They have for sure eating one large aptasia in a month, but the guy I got them from asured me that they would really start to hit the population after a month or so. I guess they eat the smaller hiden ones first, then the larger ones.

I've used them in the past and they do work well but if you have a major breakout it will take a while for them to do get 'em all!

I have heard very good things about them. The only downside that I've heard of is that as they eat only aiptasia, you'll need to have a tank exit strategy for them, (be it giving them to friends, selling them to an LFS, or whatever) as once they have eaten all of your aiptasia they'll starve to death without it!

I've always had really good luck with copper banded butterflies but I have to be ready to move them out when the aptasia is gone also

with copperbands it depends on which sea their from if they'll mess with your corals, problem is LFS' will usually say whatever you want to hear to sell one and there isnt a way to tell from the fish that I know of.

can PM Tangster and he can get you one shipped out that is the correct fish but there is no gurantees with them, they may or may not eat aptasia and there is always a chance with any butterfly that they will go after corals I just haven't ever had that issue

Occasionally I'll see someone buy a big lot of those in the local aquarium club. Then they sell some to cut down on the shipping/ total cost.
