    just been on the i.d this page and seen some pics of what people r saying is aiptaisia,ive got two in my tank.they said the guy needed to get rid a.s.a.p can u pls tell me why and what harm they do.ta very much:-/

    they will spread and take over your entire tank. they can sting corals also. I had them in my tank a while back and without controlling them they, were on all of my rock. Didn't look pretty at all.

    they can spread around your tank very quickly and sting your other corals, i started out with about 5 on a rock i got now i have about 20, im finally tryin to kill em all off which is a pain the the @$$

    Some things eat them. I think peppermint shrimp are supposed to eat little ones. You can also inject them with a syringe to kill them. I think people use kalkwasser paste or lemon juice or you can buy pre-made mixes. If its possible to remove just the rock that they are on that is probably the best route. They do spread quickly though.

    yeah I actually just injected my aiptasia with lemon juice so we shall c how that works :p

    i have the same issue i bought a pep shrimp but my emerald crab ate it lol kinda shocked me a bit

    Thanks for all your advice ive got some lemon juice so i will try that first great forum this learnt a lot in the short time ive been a member

    i added 1 peppermint shrimp, for a while i thought he was doing nothing. but i noticed last week that all medium to small sized aiptasia are gone. and i still have 2 large ones. but he seems to be trimming their tentacles. they are looking smaller then when i firs got him.
