im getting very frustrated i cant catch my snowflake eel in my bio cube.the time has come that hes getting to be to big for the tank and im moving him to a bigger tank. problem being hes found his way into the back compartment in the tank and decided to call it home. ive cleared out all the stuff from the back pump included and hes under the false floor now ...any ideas? i know he sneaks into the main part of the display on the left side of the tank (he climbs out of the water over the wall). i have a net stationed there but no dice yet...any help is greatly appreciated k+ to suggestions.

a little bit of fresh squid should draw him out of his hole, as for actually catching him, your on your own :jester:

well, when my yellow watchman goby decided to go to the back compartment, where the pump is in the 3rd chamber for the biocube 29. I bought a really small net to fit in the 3rd compartment and just scooped it out in couple of tries. There really is no where to run and become pain in the ass.

GREAT SUCCESS ....KING OF THE CASTLE haha

    cought him...:)

long time no talk telgar lol

for future reference to any1 in my position heres how i did it:

1.empty back of tank of everything
2.drain aprox 5 gallons out of the rear of the tank
3.)from here on i used a turkey baster and a 6inch net) keep shooting the floor with the baster to scare him into the pump compartment.
4.put blue sponge back in (to keep him from going into the false floor)
    5. fill back of tank slowly untill the eel can reach the hole between the middle chamber and the pump chamber
6.either scare or wait for the eel to go into the middle chamber
    7. drain the water again (this makes step 8 easier ;) )
8.use a 6 inch net to net him
    9. put him where ever he is going
    10. go to sleep becuase its almost 1 am and i have work at 4 :)

oops dont forget to post a money shot for proof :)
