I will be ready to start adding life stock to my 110g, which has been cycling then for a total of 5 weeks (just wanted to make sure to take my time until the water parameters are perfect)...

Any contributions are welcome. I was thinking of adding some green Chromis first, since they are damsels and considered very hardy.

But again, want to take my time and do everything right.

i provided my stocklist in my 75gal post you commented on the other night if you want more information on whats in mine.

So, the damsels first? My LPS here recommends putting in corals first but I honestly have never heard of that... that's why I'm asking...

to be honest a friend of mine gave me a coral hitchhiker on a piece of live-rock. its a five-star polyp and has been in my tank since my NO2/NO3 went back to 0 the first time around. i can take a pic of it, but its doing quite well. i also have a condylactus anemone which is amazingly doing well. i target feed it every 3 days with brineshrimp and a mix of spirulina and a couple other herbs in this package i got.

i started running the actnic lighting more often now, and will be adding a cleanup crew within the next two weeks. ill be ordering from john at reefcleaners.org. ive been waiting for the right time to order. i think now is the time after the first cycle and first few algae blooms but i could be wrong. however, i put a few snails in over the course of the cycling period and they were fine so i guess i can place the order.

so long as your parameters are in check things should be ok. but as they say around here on 3reef "go slow let it grow". so go slow with it and just make sure the water params stay in check.

    Hi Pelado

Im a fan of adding fish 1st as they make a more significant contribution in terms of waste
so your bacteria population increases due to the extra nutrients - then after 1st fish or maybe 1st couple of fish, Ill start adding corals
its smart IMO to add hardy/ inexpensive fish 1st as if you cycled with live rock or a frozen shrimp etc, then there may be a little time lag between the amount of bacteria that that method created and the amount you need to process the waste of the new fish. Its always a good idea to build up towards the more sensitive fish and corals, by starting with the less demaning/ easier ones 1st

Thanks Steve, I am planning on adding 3 green Chromis in about 2 weeks... that should be enough time for the tank to be cycled (5 weeks). Thanks for your advice, as always :)
