im going to add a new dotty back and blenny to my 29g once its set up then put my last 2 fish from my 55g (a blue damsel and yellow/black stripe chromis) in after them.

i want to know the opions on what blenny i should add or maybe a hawk fish but idk if any can go in a tank that small

and what dotty back to add

i also want to put in one scissor tail goby in there but i havnt decided on that if i want to take a risk on it

yes tank will have a top, skimmer and a human ato (yes me adding water everday lol) dont know about lighting yet since it will be a FOWLR tank probably a basic cheap led light or something.

No to the hawkfish as the tank is too small as you thought. I think Orchid Dottybacks are supposed to be less agressive than others, but someone else could chime in. As far as Blennies, a Tail Spot or Two Spot would certainly work in a nano, I just don't know how they would do with the semi-aggressive tank mates. I would stay away from larger herbivore Blennies, such as Lawnmowers, as there will not be enough algae for them to eat. Other Blennies, such as the Midas, that are listed as 30 gal min on Live Aquaria I would stay away from as well, as I feel a nano cube is too small.

Edit: Just saw you don't have a nano cube, but rather a 29 gal tank. In that case, most of the Blennies listed as 30 gal min. would be fine (except the Midas IMO).

Agreed. If the chromis and blue devil are established in the 55g, your best bet is to leave them there. Oh, and steer clear of dottybacks. Even with a "less aggressive" dottyback, you're looking at serious turf wars with those three together in a tank that size; no less aggressive fish (like a blenny or goby) will have a chance of surviving.

scissor tail dartfish are very peaceful. Add the dotty last, make sure it's an orchid, sankeyi (spelling), or indigo. Get rid of the damsel. Only add around 4-5 fish of those size but GO SLOW!

    what if i do this-

get a pair of clownfish, a bi color-blenny (Ecsenius bicolor) and scissor tail dartfish, and my chromis (i have a lfs ik i can take the damsel to)

if i put them in the right order like, do chromis, blenny, dartfish and then the pair of clown fish ( Ocellaris Clownfish or Percula Clownfish or Clarkii Clownfish)
    you think this will work?

and really i dk if the 55 is fixable (the top support is broke)

Yep, Ocellaris aka False Percula aka Fake Clowns are the smallest and least aggressive of clownfish. Definitely your best option with the Chromis, Blenny, and Dartfish.
