    Ya know Inwall you just gave me an idea- I could set this tank up in my garage and maybe raise fish in it. It wouldnt require much would it?

    You could raise fish, could have a massive frag farm, your imagination is the limit.

    what do you think I would need set up wise, at a min. to raise fish- coral are to risky and costly IMHO. Need to keep the cost way down.

    If it's in the garage, you'll likely need a more expensive heater than normal, a couple of powerheads. Because the cost of LR would be expensive on a tank that size (seeing as how you'll leave most of it in the 165), I would look at home-made rock called Aragocrete. aragocrete - Google Search Your filtration doesn't have to be outrageous either unless you go with some "messy" fish (Tangs, lions, puffers) or fish that require a LOT of food (Chromis, Anthias, etc).
