I'm about to upgrade my skimmer/sump, and have narrowed it down to a couple choices...

I have 110-120 gallons of water volume at present, but I'd like a skimmer that would still serve me well if I ended up near 150 gallons of water volume in the future. I keep mostly hard corals (SPS/LPS), and I feed small amounts 3 times per day. I do maintain zero nitrates/phosphates. I typically keep 10-12 medium-small fish, mostly wrasses, at all times.

I was all set on the AquaMaxx AM200-S, but everyone seems to be sold out of them for at least 6 weeks, probably longer. I can't wait that long. Space in my sump is my main constraint.

I like the AquaMaxx AM250 (and I can just barely squeeze it into the space I'm working with), but I question if it might be too much skimmer for my needs. Which leaves the Octopus XP2000SSS as my other choice, but it's also $100 more in price.

    Help

Both will do you well. Both have good pumps. I might say the Octo... but I don't think the Octo is $100 better than the 250. Neither will be "too" big for you. The 250 is probably closer matched. The Octo puts out more air... but you do not need more. I would say the edge on this one goes to the 250.
